Adventures in Knitting is a treasury of knitting patterns. Some of the patterns are older than the printed page, others were formulated and became famorites during the Victorian era, a large number were designed by the author especially for this book. Each of the 106 design patterns is fully explained, stich-by-stitch, and is pictured in a clear, close-up photograph. Information on the best practical uses of each pattern is given, along with the materials needed. Abbreviations and symbols used throughout the explanation are fully explained in the General Information chapter.
