God placed mentors and experiences in her life to encourage her faith and instruct her in the practice of spiritual disciplines. Having been nurtured and challenged during her early years, Anneke has a heart to boldly and lovingly challenge other young women to seek after God's purposes and to pursue the opportunity to know Him in a deeper way. Whether in Christian Education, youth ministry, writing or speaking, her work is marked with touching stories, humor and wisdom that only God's spirit can produce. Anneke resides in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Dan and their three small children. They are active in their church's post-modern outreach ministry. In addition to her writing, Anneke has worked with her mother, an artist and illustrator of children's stories.
