Collaborative Leadership in Action is about creating school-university-community partnerships and the leaders who build and sustain them. It defines and describes different types of collaborative partnerships and discusses how to develop, maintain, and evaluate relationships that enrich the PreK-16 learning environment. Speaking from the leadership perspectives of both PreK-12 and higher education, real-life examples illustrate theories and practices of successful leaders partnering across organizations. The final chapter provides a set of considerations and guidelines for effective collaborative leadership. This book features
strategies for developing partnerships that have the potential to be transformational; vignettes of different types of partnerships; multiple perspectives from PreK-12 and higher education participants; and lessons leaders can use to keep partnerships afloat.
