Product Overview
Endgame Conspiracy 365 Black Ops is the seventeenth book in the Conspiracy 365 series by Australian author Gabrielle Lord, and the third in the Black Ops trilogy. As volcanic ash and debris rain down on the beach at Shadow Island, Cal manages to rescue Ryan from Damien's clutches, and before long the imprisoned children, the rebels, Dr Freeman and the rescue crew from SI6 escape the Island. Things continue in an often fantastic, occasionally unbelievable and usually unimaginable manner from then on: it is easy to see how these books appeal to youth readers. In this installment, Cal and Ryan encounter the volcanic ash and debris from an erupting volcano, dangerous rocks in rough seas, the risk of Irukandji jellyfish, a great white shark, a megalomaniac bent on holding the world to ransom and a robotic cat. There is a sinking submersible, a seaplane rescue, impromptu surgery, a flight in a Lear Jet, a kidnap (or two), blackmail, fake passports, holographic eyes and mod bots. The action takes place on Shadow Island, in Richmond, London and Geneva. Boges provides technical expertise and Winter, general common sense. The Ormond's deadly nemesis, Oriana de la Force, makes an unwelcome reappearance. In keeping with the countdown theme, the pages run in reverse order and the chapter headings count down the days remaining. There are several gripping climaxes before the series is finally wrapped up.
