Product Overview
It looked like it was going to be a long, lonely summer. School was out and there wasn't much to do in the Town-Below-The-Mountain for five kids who were different, or so they thought. Leaf missed his father and spent his time up in the woods, exploring the places they used to go or playing his saxophone. The older kids thought he was a little weird, but that didn't stop Nimble from sticking up for him with the other teens. Leaf looked up to him. Nimble was going to be engineer one day and he was sure of himself. He didn't care what the other teens thought of him. Nimble knew what was right and wrong. Picking on an 11 year old wasn't right in his book and he stood up to the bullies in school. Even though he was new to town, Nimble wasn't afraid to make new friends and loved science like Zohna. She was always studying the plants and creating her own science projects, even when school was out. Whether she was in town or on the mountain, Zohna would always be with her horse Mercury. If you listened closely, you could hear the sounds of Mercury galloping on the paths in the woods.
Like Nimble, Poto and Pockets were new in town too and didn't have many friends. They had moved during the last school year and were having trouble fitting in. Poto had spent most of her childhood swimming in the ocean and missed her home. She was from an island once known for fishing, but when the coral reef died and the fish disappeared, her father had to take a job on the mainland. Poto was so happy when she found Bright Lake on the mountain. You could often find her there, swimming. Pockets was an inventor and smarter than the science teacher. He spent his time making up new words or inventing gadgets that filled the pockets in the cargo pants that he always wore. Pockets loved sharing his ideas with Poto. She never made fun of him.
These five strangers--Leaf, Nimble, Poto, Pockets, Zohna and Mercury--had one thing in common. They all followed their hearts, no matter what the other kids said. What they discovered when they found their own courage was a new kind of superhero. Not someone out-there to save the day, but a superhero that lived inside each of them. As they tried out their new superpowers, they also learned that they were called together for a special reason. To find out who was polluting Bright Lake and the town that was now their home. It might have looked liked nothing was going on, but trouble was brewing in the Dark Woods.
When Leaf finds Poto floating in Bright Lake, unconscious and covered in slime, he knows she has been poisoned by the water she loves so much. But, how? Leaf calls on his new friends to join forces to save Poto, the mountain and the lake. Together they become the Earth-Guards Adventure Team and the search begins for those who have polluted the environment.
With Leaf as the leader of this brave team, you are invited to discover your inner courage and help the Earth-Guards Adventure Team save the planet and solve the mystery of The Case of the Poisoned Lake.
