Author's Note: In 2009, my mother committed suicide, forever breaking my heart in an irreparable way and giving me more compassion toward people who simply don't know their worth. It is my firm belief that God allows us every life circumstance-especially the most difficult ones-in order to draw us closer to Him. I have combined my love for writing, along with my deep love for Christ, in order to encourage others when life's path seems unclear, uncertain, or difficult. This book is a series of short stories based on real-life events, including addiction, alcoholism, suicide, family dysfunction, and God's redemptive grace. Those who have read it say it's strangely funny, and very uplifting, hitting on a myriad of Biblical topics that will make you laugh, cry, and want more. With God as your Designated Driver, you come to realize that your life is no accident. His plan for you has meaning and significance. All the circumstances of your life-no matter how seemingly bleak-combine to paint a beautiful finished picture. God is always pursuing you and always capable of doing immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). This book could be used in a book club, as well as a Bible Study. The questions that conclude each story are deep and probing, regardless of your background.
