Many of us miss out on the abundant life Jesus calls us to. People are overly consumed by the troubles and the busyness of the world. Jesus has said that He has overcome all of that for His people. He has gone on ahead to prepare a mansion in heaven for us. We need not worry, but trust in Him. Abundant life means giving God control of our lives and letting Him provide the light to guide our steps. The reason we are here on this earth as human beings is to realize this truth. In salvation terms, God is very close. The words I believe are at the very tip of the human tongue. The greatest delight any of us can know is Gods eternal, life-saving love found in the gospel. The good news of the gospel is that it checks out because only God could have foreknown and written this perfect love story of redemption for you and me. God died a human death, nailed to a tree, to save us from our human sin. When we receive Jesus Christ, He does a supernatural work in us through the third person of the Trinitythe Holy Spirit. Tom implores those who are in the red zone with God to go into the huddle. Once there Tom both reminds and challenges readers that in the Bible, God has shown us His glory through prophecy and fulfillment. It is, therefore, a time to put off your old self and take on the likeness of Christ. God has created us with a void in our hearts that only He can satisfy. His word is near and close, and ready to be taken upon our lips and into our hearts in a proclamation that Jesus is Lord! Faith in Him is the fundamental purpose for our lives. That is the reason we exist in the first place. To win is to know Him. Therefore, when we get into the red zone with God, we had better be ready, be alert, and know the playbook. Faith in Jesus Christ is the most important call of our lives. Tom acknowledges that by virtue of writing this book, he is squarely in the worlds crosshairs. Some will embrace the book and some will despise it. Regardless, Tom has put forward the truth of Gods Word. This is evidenced through the use of Gods Holy Scripture throughout the text. Tom has infused the Scriptures into the book for the bridle-like direction it provides him as an author, and more importantly, for the supernatural power Gods Word injects into the hearts of mankind.
