Product Overview

Astronomy and geology have long been considered the progenitors of the other sciences, the products of man's curiosity about all things natural and supernatural. This book attempts to united these two sciences, to meld them into a united part of earth history: a true member of the solar family of planets, comets, satellites and asteroids in an emerging science called impact geology. In so doing, it refers many times to an oceanic flooding without explaining the cause. 228 pages with maps, diagrams and many color photographs. Includes references and index. Kelly and Dachille in their earlier privately-published book Target Earth were the first to suggest that the dinosaurs were wiped out in the aftermath of environmental consequences caused by a major impact event, predating the famous 1980 Alvarez paper by twenty-seven years. This follow up book presents much new material with the purpose of introducing the new concept of earth history described as Impact Geology. The results of Kelly's observations regarding geological phenomena which Kelly asserts prove the validity of his theory of cosmic collision.
