The Longman Anthology of Drama and Theatre is a fully-integrated text/anthology of drama with a global emphasis. Divided into two parts: Part One covers the origins of drama: genres, conventions, styles and descriptions of roles; and Part Two is a six chapter anthology of plays, including plays from around the world with a solid core of western plays. Each chapter in Part Two includes visuals, maps, timelines, biographical and contextual headnotes, and an overview of the history and conventions of each period that help readers gain a better understanding of the drama and theater being presented.
