Hell darkens her memories, but only one remains as lucid as a tear-the last memory of her killing herself. But why would she do such a thing? Unable to bear the realities of perdition, Jovie escapes Hell in search for Heaven. But where she ends up is Pertinendi, a mysterious realm between Heaven and Hell. Though Pertinendi may seem like an easy obstacle set before Heaven, it is also a realm personalized by Jovie's soul. Lurking in the shadows of her unconscious are the repressed memories that caused Jovie Blue's suicide. In order to get to Heaven, Jovie must face what she doesn't want to remember. With the guidance of a stone hard yet softly sweet talking angel statue, Jovie weaves between her painful past and strange afterlife, even vying for her existence as the Devil and Hell's demons hunt her down along the way. On her quest for salvation, Jovie Blue just may discover the strength inside her to forgive, which may be, all along, the true key to Heaven's gate.
