Its August, 1962. As a training exercise, US Army Military Intelligence recruit David Dengler is dispatched to a city hes never visited before Los Angeles, California and assigned to create a dossier on a public person (public persons having no legal recourse if their privacy is invaded.) Dengler thinks he may be the luckiest man on Earth for the celebrity hes been assigned to surveil is no less than Marilyn Monroe, goddess of the modern age and biggest female movie star in Hollywood. What Dengler doesnt know is he has arrived at her door the weekend shes murdered, making him a witness and a threat to men who must kill him or reveal their conspiracy. On the run and fighting for his life at every turn, Dengler eventually finds himself in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.
